In the 21st Century : Ethnicity in politics?
This is the question on the lips of well meaning, straight forward and enlightened Nigerians. It pains me when some Nigerians place ethnicity ahead of competence and capability in choosing their leaders. You hear words like "he is a northern so..." or "he is from the south that is why..."
If Americans had said this Barack Obama wouldn't have been in the White House.
This is not true democracy at all despite our freedom of selection, sorry I mean election.
We need competent Nigerians who will stir this blessed country to the promise land.
Yes, we will.
